Frequently Asked Questions

About the Quito Food Tour by Night

Can I combine this Quito Food Tour with other tours in Quito?

Yes; it is possible to combine this tour with our Quito Walking Tour and with the Mitad del Mundo Tour – Impactful Style. It doesn’t matter in which order you book these two tours; they both end around 5:30 to 6 in the afternoon and will give you the opportunity to try our Quito street food right after.

Is this tour physically demanding?

Because of Quito’s altitude (2.800m), you might feel a bit slower than you’re used to. But no worries, our guide will make sure to adapt the speed to your needs.

Is this a private excursion or will I share the experience with other travelers?

This Street Food Tour in Quito is a private tour.

Do I have to pay any entrance fees?

No, there are no entrance fees required.

What if I have dietary restrictions or allergies?

If you suffer any allergy o dietary restrictions, make sure to inform us during checkout and we will take the necessary precautions.

What kind of weather should we expect during this tour?

Find more info about climates in Ecuador in our blog “Best Time to Travel to Ecuador“.

How likely am I to get sick?

With our tour, extremely unlikely. All the stops are carefully vetted by our team and we run regular checks to make sure they maintain the same standards, both in terms of quality of the food as well as hygiene.
Food poisoning is of course something that shouldn’t be ignored in Ecuador, so we always recommend to eat or drink at places that were recommended by at least one local person, combined with positive online reviews.

Is Quito safe?

Just like in any big city, you have to be careful with your belongings in crowded areas. You will want to watch your pockets, during crowded portions of the tour. Of course, Ecuador being a country with big inequalities showing off the latest smartphone or an expensive watch in the street could unfortunately make you a target for thieves. But if you keep a low profile, you should be more than fine! We know the area quite well and after attending plenty of guests, we have never had any problem.
