Camila was born in Quillabamba and grew up in different places in the Cusco region. She spent her childhood in a beautiful community called Huacayupana, which will always be her home, the place where her parents still live and where her most precious memories were formed. She then moved to Quillabamba and later to the city of Cusco to complete her studies.
She is currently in the final semesters of her medical degree, a very important goal in her life. She dreams of one day uniting medicine, sustainability, and tourism, although she is still figuring out how to make this a reality.
Camila has known Guido Van Es, founder of Impactful Travel, since she was 10. Her family has hosted travelers on the Coffee Route for many years, allowing her to grow up surrounded by visitors from around the world. These experiences awakened in her a deep passion for tourism, cultural exchange, and meaningful conversations. From a very young age, she learned to see tourism not only as a source of income, but also as a valuable source of knowledge and learning.
Since the age of 14, she has also actively participated in a dance of Altiplano origin during the festival of the Lord of Torrechayoc, patron saint of the province of Urubamba, one of the most important religious and cultural celebrations of the Sacred Valley.
