Discover Cusco through art, coffee, and cultural fusion.
Begin your experience at Florencia y Fortunata Café, where you’ll be introduced to the rich layers of Cusqueñan identity. As you sip award-winning, gender-focused coffee—hailed among the top 100 in the world—you’ll delve into the story of syncretism: the powerful blend of Andean and Western traditions that has shaped this region’s spirit and expression.
From there, step into the creative world of the Totemiq collective and their collaboration with Florencia y Fortunata’s social impact project. Inside our immersive gallery-studio, just steps from the Plaza de Armas, you’ll explore the intersection of heritage and innovation—guided by local artists who are paid fairly for their craft.
You’ll experiment with four expressive techniques, from colonial Cusqueñan gilding using bronze, copper, and aluminum leaf, to collage with high-quality Totemiq mini-prints. You’ll even give augmented reality a try—transforming your Torito de Pucará into an interactive, one-of-a-kind creation.
Throughout the session, the coffee farmers themselves will offer a glimpse into their sustainable practices and personal stories—bringing you closer to the heart of this community-led project.
Whether you’re painting, gilding, or experimenting with new media, you’re not just learning—you’re contributing to the preservation of tradition and the future of artistic expression in Cusco.
You’ll leave not only with your own Torito de Pucará in hand, but with a deeper sense of connection—to place, to people, and to purpose.
And if you have time to explore further, take a look at our selection of Day Tours in Cusco. Once you’ve fully acclimatized, you’ll be ready for the journey to Machu Picchu via one of our Cusco Multi-Day Tours.

What to Bring
During this workshop, you will not only get closer insights into Peruvian culture, but support local women’s network and entrepeneurships. We work with female artists to give them more visibility, contributing to education and gender equality.
Furthermore, we collaborate with the café Florencia y Fortunata, a place supporting Peruvian women as well. Together, we try to give just working opportunities and more visibility to female local producers.
The toritos you will paint come from potters living in Pucará itself.
You can be sure that everyone you will meet during this experience is very well paid. Fair-trade and good salaries are a priority here!
